The Fourth Sunday of Advent  Sunday December 21:

10:15  a.m. Advent Lessons and Carols with the Holy Eucharist.

We conclude Advent with our Liturgy of Lessons and Carols.  The Liturgy of the Word contains the stories of Creation and the Fall, and the Advent Prophecies from Catechesis of the Good Shepherd;  the Star, the Light, the City, the Mother and the Names, followed by the Annunciation Gospel from St. Luke.  Between the readings we will sing hymns reflecting what we’ve heard.  This is always a powerful way to close Advent and make us ready for Christmas.

Christmas Services At Church of the Angels

Wednesday December 24:  Christmas Eve

 4:30 p.m.  Children’s Christmas Eve Liturgy

10:00 p.m.  Midnight Mass

Each Sunday our parish community gathers to make present and celebrate the great and saving deed by which Christ has forever conquered sin and death. We hope that you will be deeply touched by what happens here. Even though you find yourself among people you may not yet know, we want you to feel at home. We hope that through your experience of both our liturgy and community, you will know yourself to be affirmed, forgiven, and loved.

About Church of the Angels

The Church of the Angels, located in Pasadena, California, is one of the most beautiful historic churches in the western United States. It was built by Mrs. Alexander Robert Campbell Johnston in 1889 as a memorial to her husband and as a place of worship for the people of the village of Garvanza.
